Thursday night, Colleen and I took Pat to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venitian for her birthday present!
It was quite a production, if you would like to see photos go to : The Beadmetaler and check out Colleen's blog...
I really enjoyed seeing my first play in Las Vegas, I have seen shows and concerts but never a play here, very moving and beautifully produced! This is a scene from the movie but I wanted to play a song for you.....enjoy!

Mini Vacation!
Over the weekend Charlie and I took off to California for another baseball weekend! This time we found ourselves in Anaheim to see the Angels play. We hooked up with Joe and Mary friday and got to the game at 7:00.The weather was great for once in my life, it was actually hot in california! I loved it! I did not have to sit ther shivering in the cold! I bought an angel jacket anyway, just in case!
Travis showed up and I caught up with him. Always great to see my son!!
After the game the 4 of us we heaed over to The Lazy Dog restaurant to hang out by the firepits and eat snacks then we dropped joe and mary off and went to our hotel up the street to get some sleep.
Saturday morning we got over to Joe and Mary's, had coffee then went to Arthur's coffee shop for breakfast. Hit the grocery store to buy stuff for the tailgate party we were having before saturdays game.
3:00 saturday we get to the stadium and hook up with the kids, Jim and Shel, Lido and Suzi, and we tailgate, That was FUN!! I had never tailgated before! You set up a little campsite with chairs and tarps and Jim made the best grilled hamburgers! You drink wine and beer out of red plastic cups, then throw it all in the camper and walk to the game at 6:00. Afterward you walk back to the camper and hang out until the parking lot empties and then head home!
What a fun time!
Sunday morning charlie and I hit the road early to get back home.
I miss everyone already and hope we can come back in a month or two and do it all again!

FOOD!!!
Ok I don't think I can eat another bite!
Yesterday, I went to the Desert Newcomers luncheon at Tahiti Joes up on Las vegas blvd and warm springs. Don't bother, the food was terrible, I had coconut encrusted chicken, potatoes that were small bites of hard dried potatoes, the chicken was dry and the broccolli was cold.
After that, I left to go to work, then at 5:30 went to Buca Di Beppo an italian place up on Flamingo and spencer...Now that was good stuff!! And the place is fascinating with all the pictures on the walls, the chicken cannolloni was good, the eggplant was a little over done but the place has such a great menu there are plenty of great dishes to choose from, I will go back and try some other things!
The dinner at Buca was for the artist group I am working hard to become a part of, they are all so talented and they make great things, I really need to branch out and get more creative and live up to my name but I never really had an art group to belong to before, I hope I can continue on with them and make great art!!
You can checkout Mandy's blog or Amandas blog to get an idea of the art they create (the others do not have blogs yet) the links are on the right under blogs I read...

Not all work and no play!
Ok is not been all work and no play, I have gotten a lot accomplished in my craft room as far as cleaning and orginizing, and I was able to get some stuff made...The first photo is my george michael and chris isaak concert frames, chris was completed long ago but I had to make one for george, dang that was an awesome concert!! The second photo is a bracelet I made for Pat K, I hope she won't read this before tomorrow morning, we are going to bingo in the morning and I am giving it to her so she can win, you all remember the piece of jewelry colleen made and won all her money, and then I made my lucky bracelet and won money so I hope this will be lucky for Pat!! The 3rd photo is a class I had last month copper balls and turquoise balls dangling amid sterling silver, cute set!! Enjoy!!

Trade show and other good things!
The second photo is a shot of all the peace sign stuff I found, 2 bracelets and a wallet, and peace pendants, plus my new locket....
Had fun wandering around with Colleen, we hit all 3 shows, jewelry, gifts and merchandise. We parked at the Venitian and walked across to the Mirage in the morning, got that show out of the way and walked back to the Venitian, had lunch at the Grand Lux Cafe (highly recommend that place for lunch!! They have great food!) Walked the gift show then the merchandise show, it was getting crazy with people packing up since it was the last day so we left. We were out from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm!
All in all, very fun to do and it so much fun to have a business license and get to see all the new stuff and trends, it always inspires me to really get my http://www.peaceloveandartshop.com/ store up and running full speed....I will try very hard this saturday to stock up my store!
