Shinedown does an excellent cover of this Skynyrd tune! I love this song and it has become my signiture song for my son, I have always tried to teach him to be kind, good, and honest. Live a simple life and keep on the straight path, you can have a good life but you have to follow the rules and obey the laws. I love that he is kind and has a heart of gold and would help anyone who needs help, he has compassion, that is so important these days...keep up the good work Travis, I am proud of you and I love you very much!!

Christmas comes early!

I love to give..I love to find the perfect gift for someone, I love to make just the right gift for someone...but give me something and I am at a complete loss, I get all tongue tied, I am so nervous and my thoughts are all jumbled, I am not comfortable in the receiving department but I can give till the cows come home and I am in my element, I am a true pisces, a giver.
But due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to open presents early..anyone who knows me knows I love to save up all gifts I get until christmas morning, but Travis was here and wanted me to open my presents with him...travis got me Elvis movies and a cd that I do not have..imagine that!! I love them!! Very cool presents!! Then Colleen called and wanted me to come over and open Mandy's gift she made me while Mandy was there...Oh my gosh!! What a gift....Mandy made this Altered album for me..the covers are glass tiles she drilled through and added hardware, and printed quotes on transparences, it is all embellished with charms and chain..Oh it is marvelous, I just can't stop admiring it, even Charlie said WOW, he was very impressed with the tools and hardware she had to use it was very impressive...I just love it, I am just not sure I can bring myself to put anything in it...maybe my 20th anniversary momentos when that happens in 2009! Thank You from the bottom of my heart!! I feel very special to recieve such a treasure! Words cannot describe my joy in having such a gift!

My Christmas Present!

Travis is visiting for 2 days, last night we opened gifts, he won't be back, he has too many friends and family in california to see on christmas so he flew out early to spend his birthday and christmas here with us.

He was born 24 years ago on Dec. 23, I got to take him home christmas eve 1983!

Jewelry Christmas Party

Today was the big christmas party exchange at Mandy's house, wow, we had tons of great food and tons of love passed around! I had picked June's name and June had picked my name, how cool was that!!! June is a doll maker, I have always admired doll makers, my grandmother was a doll maker and she never got around to making me a doll, my grandma is now in a home suffering from alzhiemers and no longer knows who anyone is. So June pulling my name was a leap of faith...I now have a doll made from a real doll maker, and June made a doll to represent my cat Toby!! She will never know how special this is to me, I don't cry easily ( I have to be tough to get along in this world) but I did cry at home in private, I know the love that went into this gift and I will treasure him forever...Thank you...to all my new friends I have made in jewelry class, you are true Gems!!

Mandy did a wonderful job hosting, her home was fabulous, don't you love how she decorated her table, WOW! I put a picture of mandy and otis and elvis, Troy was out being the wonderful husband he is and went christmas shopping for his wife while women over took his home, thanks Troy we had fun! There is a photo of me and my cat doll and June opening her Fairy necklace I had made for her, she was very happy! Everyone had fun, ate too much, and just enjoyed the time together. Here is a photo of the wonderful job June did in recreating Toby...what an amazing gift..Merry Christmas everyone!!

Be Happy!

I had made this bracelet a couple classes ago, Colleen Mcgraw had found me the little bee charms for it, too cute! Well, today I made the pendant to go with it in class today! Wow I love it! I have to figure out what chain to hang it on and I need to add more bees and I am looking for yellow and black beads instead of the orange and black crystals, but I should have a nice set by the end of january! The copper and silver together is just marvelous! you have to cut and burn the copper then you hammer it, add a rivet to secure the two pieces together, lots of work and make the silver art clay piece!! Whew, everyones turned out great, what a fun class today!!!
