Two for Tuesday!

Here are two of my latest projects:
This is a peace sign with copper plate on the back, it was from my rivet class I took, the pieces swing seperate, it is way cool! I am packaging it up for a birthday gift!

This is from the wire wrap class, I finished everything so it is a complete set, necklace, bracelet, and earrings! I think I want to call it Carnivale from the series we use to watch!

Music Monday!

I am one of the lucky ones to have seen Peter Gabriel's Secret World Concert, he uses lots of props and elaborate set ups in his concerts, a great showman! His voice is unique and powerful, I love his music...here you get his Come Talk To Me song and the way he performed it in concert...

Here is something I made: I took the heart shaped rocks I have collected at the river/lake and made this shadow box with them...

Friday Free for All...

Ok fridays I can post anything I want.......So I was in class yesterday....oh wait till you see what I made (will post tomorrow), I was in class and we had some music lovers present..Miss Pearl Jam Theresa and Colleen music lover McGraw....I was telling them about paste magazine and all the good music you can find within it's pages, made me remember some of the great stuff I had found....this has to be my all time favorite..."quattro" by Calexico....I hope you like it as much as I do....

Thursday thoughts...

I have always liked thursday, it is the end of the week but not as hectic as friday. Friday you have to get all your work done so you can start enjoying the weekend so it gets a little scrambly, but thursday is nice and peaceful, the calm before the storm.
So I have decided that on thursday's I will post soemthing serene and peaceful....
I was talking quotes with a friend who loves them as much as I do....and so thursday you will find a quote on my blog or something thoughtful someone has done...

Get Creative...

I love this necklace...it is called Lovely Layers. (click on picture to see it close up) It is a wire wrapping class because each component has to be wire wrapped and added to the chain. Did I say I love this necklace! I am working hard to finish it but I do not work well outside the box and you have to just be willy nilly with this one and just add randomly....uh, this does not compute well in my "little pre orginized all my little ducks in a row brain" so I am struggling, but I hope there is no right or wrong with this. I think as long as I love it, it will be ok.
The boys are at the race track practicing for saturday race night so the ipod is on and the coffee is brewing, Toby is sleeping at my feet and I am getting creative!

Laughlin

Hey, we are home from Laughlin, we had fun meeting up with everyone, four couples went, Hi Diane and Gary, Hi Deb and Leonard, Hi Colleen and Greg! Hope everyone got home safe and sound!
We stayed at the Aquarious (use to be flamingo). I just can't understand Laughlin not trying to keep up appearances. It is getting really run down and old. It could be a really nice place with the river running by, but they just keeping running it into the ground, come on Laughlin get some remodling done!
Anyway, the concert was nice and casual, the chairs were uncomfortable but it was a very small venue, she came out in jeans and a t-shirt and sang some old favorites and some new stuff. All in all we had a great time...Oh and Debbie, Colleen and I went to a Cornfest...Oh what a time we had at the cornfest....hahahahaha!!!!! But those secrets are safe with me!! hee-hee!
