Thursday Updates!

Busy week, with work and taxes to prepare for ...which means tons of paperwork and number crunching. My brain hurts!

On a good note: Saturday we are going to buy new filters and a pool cover to prepare for Swimming in May!!
Have I mentioned how much I love my pool! I LOVE my pool!

Altered Art...

Just a quickie post on a altered chipboard frame class I took at Ferne's house, this was fun and would make great gifts....

New Sites!

I added my hubbys racing blog under "blogs I read" to the rightside and I added their racing website as well www.infernomotorsports.com check it out especially if you want to become a sponser and have your name or company name racing around the track on the weekends!!
I have an altered art class today and a pampered chef party to go to, so have a fun saturday playing with your friends!!

Jewelry time!

This was a wire wrap class we had to shape the 14 guage wire and then make the dangles, this was a fun class and I love this pendant necklace!

Silver Art clay class, we got to make anything we want so I made this heart with a stamped image and dangled some crystals from it, I also set a stone that started out blue but turned white during torching, but we all liked in the end result. Then I made little initial pendents with my left over clay.

The last photo is all three neckalces together, I just love them all!

Back to work!

It is the middle of february, I have projects galore to finish and more on the horizon that need to get done, thank goodness for my retreat coming up in march! I hope to get a lot accomplished. It is a croppin away retreat check out carolyn's website in my travel section links to the right...

As for my jewelry making, I start projects but some you can't finish in class so they sit here waiting to be completed. Working at home is not an option, I may have the room, but I can't start working on a project because I get called away or there is too much work around the house that needs done. Charlie starts racing this march which means I get saturdays all to myself, nice!

I am taking a class this saturday and monday so we will see if I can complete something and post a picture. Stay tuned!

TA DA!!

Ok, I am posting early but I don't think my room will ever be done, I still need my drafters chair and 3 white bookcases for it to be done done....I found that the dark brown old rickety table I had in the room was hampering my creativity so I decided after reading this book.....

That I had to make a change. I bought a counter top and two base cabinets at home depot and decided the height was great because I love to work standing up, I am always kicking my chair out of the way and working, but now I need a drafters chair in case I do want to sit.

I love it! Here is my new workspace:

Restaurant review!

Friday night- we wanted to go see a movie at the new rave motion pictures theater but you gotta eat first right? So I said let's try that restaurant the pilots eat at on Sunset, it has windows you can watch the planes land and take off.

We got a nice corner table all to ourselves with the best view!! It is beautiful in there no matter where you sit. They have a special for 50.00 - you pick an appitizer, soup or salad, entree, and a dessert! So I went with that, and Oh boy...the appitizer alone was worth it, grilled eggplant with feta, greek olives, and sun dried tomatoes, that was scrumptous! I then had the soup, vegatable soup with crab meat, it was ok. I chose the ravioli with lobster and spinach in a lobster bisque sauce, very tasty. Last came the Tirimisu, yummy! Charlie had the risotti with chicken and asparagus and he ate every bite! Over all Good stuff!!
Nice place to have dinner before heading to the New Town Square at the end of Sunset and Las Vegas blvd.
The Town Square is going to be amazing place to hang out, lots of neat shops and dining options (the Yard House will be there, Yum) and the movies, which we never got to see one because the next showing of the Bucket List was 11:00pm, we can't stay up that late!

News...

Well, as you can tell from my last post, I won my bet on the superbowl...All hail the NY Giants!! I bet 20.00 and got 86.00 back, not too shabby and it was fun to watch the game and win in the last 30 seconds!
I am still working on my craft room, should be done soon, I hope you are bearing with me and holding out to see the result!
