A Boat, a Lake, and the end of Summer....

We finally took the boat out for a test drive. We are still here so you know it did not sink.
Needs a little engine tune up and a couple more little items but it is ready to set sail.
It was a nice calm Saturday morning on Lake Mead, wow, look how low the water is, it is like someone pulled the plug on our great big bathtub!
I think I can fill a whole album with all my feet and water photos...too funny!

Damn, look at that Dam
O Captain, My Captain (name that movie!)
Tomorrow is my sad day, summer is at an end, the leaves will fall, the wind will blow, and I will drag out my sweaters and socks and brace myself for the harsh beating from winter.....
take shelter my good friends......

Well, I'm remembering Dead Poet's Society...and because it was a poem by Walt Whitman, first and foremost. I hope I win. Had a fabulous time at Joan Jett the night before this...AND CHEESECAKE WITH CHARLIE! Thanks for being a pal - summer, and all year long, now that you think it's over! Glad you didn't sink!
