Silver clay set

Too cute! I made the silver art clay ring at class on tuesday, came out nice, the image did not stamp too good but I like it and I guess that's all that matters, so now I have a ring a bracelet and necklace...how fun is that! I am making chainmaille earrings on monday and then we have open bead day on tuesday. Nothing else going on....working at the office, jumping in the pool to cool off and going out to dinner, I took Charlie to PF Chang's tonight, he has never been there and he really liked it! We had fried rice, shrimp lo mein spicy, orange peel chicken and crab wontons....very yummy!!

Zion!

We had to travel to Page Az which took us through Zion National park in Utah, Wow that was beautiful! Our first stop was the cracker barrel for breakfast in St George, (I had Blueberry Pancakes) then through Zion and then to Page to see the car we needed to inspect. Long drive but nice scenery!! I got to stop at a rock shop and buy a couple cabachons for beading!

Classes!

2 bracelets this week...Oh I love them! On the silver art clay we stamped and we learned how to hammer the clay to give it dimension and texture, the other bracelet is just a beaded braclet using fire polish beads and 11 seed beads...easy weave on that one! No classes next week bummer!

No news is good news...

I have been busy cleaning and organizing the house in the mornings and working afternoons with boss.
We usually finish up around 5 and then head out to grab some dinner, Olive Garden, Lucille's, I took him over to try Chapala's on tropicana and pecos, that is a great authentic mexican restaurant, the food tastes very fresh and it seems like the kitchen is full of mexican grandma's in there cooking all the real food...give it a try! It is nice to have restaurants to go to where you are not bothered with smoking and slot machines, we still like our sunday's at the mexican restaurant in boulder station where we play keno, drink beer and wine and eat tons of chips and salsa!
Ok Gotta get some more housework done, got 2 classes coming up this week so stay tuned for more jewelry!

Christmas in July!
My friend Colleen #1 gave me this for Christmas!! It is the new brighton bracelet for peace...it is gorgeous and I can't say thank you enough....she knew it had jackie written all over it and she was right, each charm is wonderful and this is by far my favorite piece of brighton I own, and because it was given in friendship that I hope grows more special with each passing year! Merry Christmas everyone!!

They Warned Me!

They warned me this jewelry thing would take over my life, well it has, during my last 24 hours alone I remodeled the corner of my bedroom to make room for more...I have 6 classes this month to take! I, being the naive little jewelry virgin that I was said in my first couple classes, "Oh I could never sell the jewelry I make" Oh, how they laughed at me for that...and now I sell it on Etsy! Well, you just can't keep it all I now realize, and there may be some poor soul out there yearning for one of my unique special pieces....hahahahahaha......but better safe then sorry so I am putting the stuff out there and will sell some at the Newcomer bazaar this year, must make money for more jewelry classes...did they warn me this may be a never ending cycle

Antique Mall Finds!

I finally took myself out to the antique mall today, there is a pretty big one here called antique mall of america...I found a carousal lion music box for 10.00, a man's size chainmaille bracelet for 5.00 that was a find...it had a cheap little pewter toggle on it, I took that off and threw the bracelet in the tumbler, came out very nice, and I found that funny tin sign for 5.00! So not a bad day!

More Shopping!

I decided to open an Etsy shop, I use to browse etsy all the time, I love to see all the wonderful creations people would make and even bought items. I have been racking my brain lately on how to earn extra income at home, I only have mornings available as I have to work in the afternoons at my husbands office...I figured Ebay but I only have so much junk I am willing to part with, so last night I opened an Etsy shop. Etsy is for artists and craft people to sell there goods, all items must be handmade. You can really find some unique creations there so go check it out http://www.peaceloveandartshop.etsy.com/ I also put a link under my ebay store on the left.

Ebay Let's shop!

Ok, Got some auctions going up on ebay they will start around 8:00 tonight, , click my link to my ebay store on the left.
I was not feeling well this weekend and was able to stay home and get lots of stuff done. I missed my silver art clay class on saturday, the guitar pick, I am very upset about that and I hope colleen will offer it again but it is a unique piece that not a lot of people will want to make.
I may have to try it on my own. We will see.
I am going to put more stuff up for auction tonight, I am trying to earn enough to buy these special pliers for making chainmaille, the set of 6 pliers runs about 150.00 to 200.00!!! So shop till you drop...hahaha!
Got say congratulations to my friend Ronna and her friend James and their dog Roxie, they won a contest for dog and owner look alike! They won a big flat screen tv!!
